Shops of New York Short Film Festival 2024

Calling all NYC shop-loving filmmakers! The Shops of New York Short Film Festival is BACK for 2024! Share the story of a shop that means something to you with a short film.

The festival is open to filmmakers of all backgrounds, skill levels and perspectives. There will be CASH PRIZES and a theatrical screening night at SVA Theater on 23rd Street on September 12.

A Five Borough Journey

Since February 2021, we’ve been on a mission to find the most unique, legendary shops and the passionate and fascinating people that make New York the greatest city in the world. We’ve invited you to follow our journey across all five boroughs, and the local shops that are mainstays of each neighborhood in NYC.

Local businesses and the people who run them are the cornerstones of our communities and without them this city would be a very bleak place!

In September 2023 we held a film festival celebrating creativity and togetherness, with the intention of building a community around local business.

Our mission is to build a community of support around local businesses.

This festival was a celebration of creativity, community and togetherness.
